We ate it with a very good locallly raised beef Scotch fillet steak and roasted mini potatoes, garlic cloves and shallots. Yum.
A beautiful sunset accompanied dinner.
I am contributing this as part of Veggie Gobbler's Thursday Garden Gobbles. Gobble on everyone. Thanks VG.
Yummo. I am a new convert to fruit with salad.
ReplyDeleteI have tried the same salad with nectarines and it it pretty good. And of course I have also made lots of salads with pomegranate.
DeleteThat salad looks amazing so envious that your able to grow peaches we just don't really have the climate for them and if you do manage them you get about 5! I love peaches & even papaya in salads really gives the salad a lift. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am very fortunate to have inherited 4 peach trees when we moved here. Three have fruited and the other still has very green fruit. I haven't tried papaya in salad but I love papaya (but sadly cannot grow it here).
DeleteOh wow - that sounds very seductive indeed. I do like a pomegranate molasses dressing.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty nice, it would be even better with some prosciutto I think.
DeleteYum, Yum, Yum! Looks great, sound great and eating it with a gorgeous sunset sounds devine!
ReplyDeleteOne of life's great pleasures is eating most on the verandah and taking in the view.
DeleteYum! Yum- so good! The essence of summer all round! Yes peaches in salad are delish. We have a poached chicken and peach and pecan salad which I've recently discovered and am now overdosing on!
ReplyDeleteOh I like that idea, I will have to try it! On a variation, my butcher in my Little Smoke town sells whole smoked chickens which I have fallen in love with. I think smoked chicken and peach would be a great combo as well.
DeleteWe are well and truly in the hungry gap here in the UK - a bit of purple sprouting broccoli is about as much as I can manage. That salad looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteOh we will have a hungry gap sooner or later and be admiring all your produce. It kind of sustains us both being able to oggle at each others veg when our patches is bare.
DeleteDevine. Love the new photos on the sidebar as well. I have such peach envy right now
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, it was pretty nice. Thanks for noticing my farmy photos, I am loving it here. Do you know I cannot remember when I actually last ate a peach before having these trees? I didn't buy them for years and years becasue they were always so hard and tasteless. I might have to send a tray to Sydney folk next year...
Deletewe Sydney folk will be very happy to have some
